New High Output LED Street Light
Replacing standard street light with new high output LEDs will save 50% energy and they will last more than 10 years. They are maintenance-free, contain no hazardous material such as gases or mercury, and they are dark sky compliant, meaning that their light is focused on the area where it is needed, and not wasted into the night sky.
At the upcoming American Public Works Association event in San Antonio, September 9-12, these new LEDs will be showcased by the company inventing the new effective street light - IntenCity Ligthing.
The new high output LED uses only 75 watts, but produces 3200 lumens. See more here…

I read a 100 watt for street light and 75 watt for led? a small savings..

jay that posting was a year old.rev one led lights used one watt led and uses 100 of them to make 100w output of light.new cree led and other vendors now have 10w led and 20w led on one chip so the whole unit is now used 4-6 led chips with a 90 percent efficient power supply.newer led now use 80-100w in power but replace 250w hps and you can use a 30-60w led now to replace a 150w hps head.just like cfl and other bulbs you need to give vendors like cree and osram time to make led chips better and brighter.as of today the dept of energy post that every three months new products come out of ssl tech.

This is good news, we need to do something for our future generation now.We are factory for the led street light in China, we done a lot of projects for the led street light, we will have one big order about 5000pcs.
